That's interesting. Maybe I'm viewing things in a very Western centric way when I worry about our obsession with convenience (I wrote a post on that too!). Most of the world doesn't live in the West. In fact, the non-Western world is where we can find solutions, because they're (we're, I'm from the non-West) the "losers" when it comes to the status quo, so they have an interest in changing it. I wrote about this in another post. I don't wanna be that guy, but I'm gonna be, and I'm gonna share the link to it with you (fully understanding you've read about 5 of my posts in the last couple of days and I can completely understand if you're fed up with them and don't want to read it):
